Good afternoon,
I was looking for a NAR sanctioned club using the NAR’s web page and saw your club’s information. I’ve been building rockets for a very long time, I started when I was about ten or eleven years old, got my son started when he was nine years old and now my granddaughter and grandsons (granddaughter builds the boys are still just watching and pushing the launch buttons) who range in age between 9 and 4. Yep, fifty years later still building rockets and wanting to get into the higher powered rockets now that I’m recently retired, moved to beautiful SC, and have the time to do so while helping my granddaughter who has now build and flown her first two rockets.
My son and I have gotten back into the hobby and we realized how much we love the hobby. I’ve just started the process of building my first Level 1 rocket project but I’m looking for others that love the hobby and looking for a club we can interact with others to launch some of the rockets we’ve built. We still fly the last rocket my son and I built together when he was about 13 or 14. Then high school sports, college, marriage, took up all his time and I was quite busy with having to travel for my job.
So, my questions; is your club accepting new members, do you have folks Level 1 or higher qualified that could assist with my quest for Level 1 certification, and last but not least family oriented where my granddaughter could launch rockets with your organization.
Thanks very much and looking forward you your response.
